A couple of fashion student I shot last semester. More collaboration to follow this year.
I feel like the new year should be desaturated. Muted colors, less saturation, less contrast. We will see what develops. A change of style, a change of approach.
The type is a bit off, maybe I will update it later.
I want to shoot fashion shoot fashion shoot fashion shoot fashion.
I need to relearn how to crop.
Class started today and I’m preparing everything for a successful stress free semester. Purchased a new stylus for my tablet, paper for the printer, and business books for creatives. I realized that you can be the most creative person you can be, but if you don’t have an audience and clients, you won’t get anywhere.
I really wish there are more classes for the business side of this industry, it would really benefit students after graduation. There is only 1, business studio management and it hasn’t been offered since no one signs up for it. I’m hoping to commit enough people to sign up so the class will actually be offered next semester.
A compiled images that I’ve take in the past, most are my favorites. Regretfully, I don’t have the high-res versions anymore, I’ve had bad luck in the past with losing files due to file transfers and hardware problem etc. I should really invest on 1 or 2 dedicated external hard drives just to hold my images.
A bit dated, but this is an event coverage for a fashion show for a local non profit organization Hope Initiative. I really wish there are more shows like these I can participate in and photograph. Better yet, access to the clothing so I can use it in my own shoots and concepts. Taken with my old trusty 20D.
Test shoots are one of the fastest way to get images in your portfolio, beggars can’t be choosers if you have nothing to start off with so you take what you can get. At this moment I’m on the edge of getting out of test shoots, bare sessions with no makeup artist, hair stylist and outfits that I don’t screen ahead of time. I’ve been studying professional work of others and see the big difference with their images and mine. It’s like cooking, all ingredients must come together to make a great dish. It’s time to do some selective shopping!
Not really the first, I had a few before but I can be indecisive on how things looks so I took deleted them. There is no real frame work as of yet on how I want to run my website but I do know it will have a section for portfolio, and a blog that will be updated more frequently. For now, and the next few post, I will flood my entries with past projects and assignments. A bit chaotic but hopefully everything comes together.
